The Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat), Maimunah Mohd Sharif is in Ethiopia for a two-day official visit.
Early today, she met with United Nations (UN) staff working in Ethiopia.
She expressed gratitude toward them for their dynamic commitment in actualizing SDG 11 (making urban areas and human settlements comprehensive, sheltered, versatile and feasible) and the new urban motivation in Ethiopia.
During his visit, the Executive Director will meet with high Ethiopian government authorities, including Engineer Aisha Mohamed, Minister of Urban Development and Construction.
She will likewise visit a trash dumpsite, Koshe landfill and the UN Habitat subsidized undertaking situated at Ras Mekonnen zone.
